**RAMESWARAM, January 29, 2025** – Thousands of devotees flocked to the Agni Theertham sea in Rameswaram on Wednesday to observe Thai Amavasai, a day considered auspicious for paying homage to ancestors. The event, held in front of the Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, saw pilgrims from across the region performing special pujas and taking holy dips in the sea.
Temple authorities made extensive arrangements to accommodate the large crowds, providing water, biscuits, and sanitation facilities. Food was also distributed to the devotees. A significant police presence ensured the safety and security of all participants.
