**Orlando, FL** – A former participant in the Walt Disney World College Program has seen her passion for conservation blossom into a full-time dream job with Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment team. Juliana Marcotrigiano, a recent College Program alum, credits her ten-week involvement in a unique monarch butterfly research project for setting her on this path.

Marcotrigiano, who initially served as a Wilderness Explorer, educating guests about conservation, participated in a groundbreaking Butterfly Conservation series as part of her program. This experience, coupled with other learning opportunities offered through the program, including a session on Disney’s animal science and conservation efforts, solidified her career aspirations. She subsequently applied for and secured a full-time position as a Conservation & Science Tech.

“The College Program allowed me to discover different aspects of Disney and connect with leaders across the company,” Marcotrigiano said. “The learning offerings and the opportunity to share my passion for conservation with guests were invaluable.” She further highlighted the collaborative nature of the butterfly research, emphasizing the shared learning experience with fellow participants.
