Wed Jan 29 16:15:42 UTC 2025: ## J&K Police Raid 25 Locations in Rajouri, Targeting Militant Network
**Srinagar, January 29, 2025** – A major anti-militancy operation unfolded in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, as police conducted raids across 25 locations. The searches, part of an ongoing investigation into a terrorist network linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), targeted overground workers (OGWs) allegedly involved in planning and executing terror activities.
Authorities stated that incriminating material and documents were seized during the raids, which spanned several areas including Rajouri, Naushera, Thanamandi, Dharhal, Koteranka, Budhal, Manjakot, and Chingus. The operation stems from FIR No. 447/2024, registered at Rajouri Police Station.
Rajouri has seen a resurgence in militant activity since 2020, marking a significant shift from the relative peace established by security forces in 2005. This increase is attributed, in part, to the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat visited forward operating bases in Kathua and Doda, reviewing security preparedness and emphasizing operational alertness.
