**Boston, MA –** Parts of Massachusetts experienced a brief snowfall Tuesday morning, but residents should prepare for a more significant accumulation overnight. The National Weather Service predicts widespread snowfall beginning late Tuesday night and lasting through Wednesday morning, with 1-2 inches expected in most areas. The southeast is forecast to receive only light dusting.
Temperatures will plummet to the upper teens and low 20s overnight. While a lull in snowfall is anticipated Wednesday morning, spotty snow or rain showers are possible in the afternoon as temperatures climb to the upper 30s and low 40s. Gusty winds of 25-30 mph will persist throughout Wednesday, though less intense than Tuesday.
Thursday will bring bright, cold, and windy conditions, with highs in the low to mid 20s feeling much colder due to wind chill.
