**Jodhpur, Rajasthan –** An IndiGo flight from Jodhpur to Bengaluru was delayed this morning after a passenger accidentally opened an emergency exit door just before takeoff. The incident, which occurred on flight 6E 6033 scheduled for 10:10 am, caused a 20-minute delay and a brief stir among passengers.
According to IndiGo, the passenger, identified as Siraj Kidwai, an Axis Bank employee, opened the emergency exit flap during the pre-flight safety demonstration. The airline stated that its crew immediately followed standard operating procedures. Kidwai claims the act was accidental.
Following the incident, security personnel removed Kidwai from the aircraft and handed him over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He is currently being questioned at the Jodhpur airport police station.
IndiGo expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to other passengers and reaffirmed its commitment to safety and security. The airline did not elaborate on potential charges against Kidwai. The investigation is ongoing.
