**Malappuram, Kerala, January 29, 2025** – The Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala will celebrate its 81st founder’s day on Thursday with a series of events. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. at P.V.S. Square, Changuvetty, with Venu Rajamani, former Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands, as the chief guest.
The day’s events include the P.S. Varier Memorial Lecture, delivered by Venugopal C. Govind, chairman of Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Kochi, on the topic of “India as a health welfare nation: goals and approaches.” Literary critic E.P. Rajagopalan will also commemorate P.S. Varier. Arya Vaidya Sala chief physician and managing trustee P. Madhavankutty Varier will preside over the function and present the annual awards, including the Centenary Award, AVS Chandramani Anjaria Scholarship, and Sardar Jagjit Singh Chadha and Sardarni Manmohan Kaur Chadha Endowment Prize. Cultural programs by Arya Vaidya Sala employees and their families will conclude the celebrations in the evening.
