The 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13th and continues until February 26th, is expected to draw over 450 million visitors. Pilgrims gather at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, to perform a holy dip believed to cleanse sins and grant liberation.
