The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a strong statement denouncing the report’s insinuations, countering that Canada has a history of interfering in India’s internal affairs, contributing to illegal immigration and organized crime.
The Canadian Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions, headed by Justice Marie-Josée Hogue, investigated allegations of foreign meddling from several countries, including China and Russia.
