**Mumbai, January 29, 2025** – Jasprit Bumrah dominated the 2024 ICC Awards, taking home both the Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year and the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year. The five-day awards ceremony, concluding January 28th, saw several other standout performances recognized. Bumrah’s achievement marks him as the first Indian pacer to win the coveted Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, a testament to his exceptional 71 wickets in 13 Test matches in 2024. This impressive feat surpasses his nearest competitor by 19 wickets.

Other Indian winners included Smriti Mandhana (Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year) and Arshdeep Singh (Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year). Arshdeep’s 36 T20I wickets played a key role in India’s T20 World Cup victory.

New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr was named the Women’s Cricketer of the Year, setting a record for most wickets in a single ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and delivering crucial all-around performances throughout the year. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai also shone, with significant contributions in ODIs.

While the 2024 awards celebrated individual brilliance, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli continues to hold the record for most individual ICC awards, with an impressive total of 10.
