**Dubai, UAE** – Geoff Allardice, the Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC), has announced his resignation, effective immediately. The 57-year-old Australian, who held the position since November 2021, cited a desire to pursue new challenges. His departure comes just weeks before the upcoming Champions Trophy ODI tournament, scheduled for February 19th to March 9th.

Allardice joined the ICC in 2012 and previously served as Cricket Operations Manager for Cricket Australia. In a statement, he expressed pride in the ICC’s achievements under his leadership, highlighting the expansion of cricket’s global reach and the strengthening of its commercial foundation.
