**Hyderabad, January 29, 2025** – The Telangana state government’s comprehensive socio-economic, education, employment, and caste survey is nearing completion, officials announced today. The survey, the first of its kind in the state, aims to inform the enhancement of reservations for backward classes.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was informed that data entry is finished, and a draft report will be submitted to the government within two days. The CM directed officials to present the report to a cabinet subcommittee by February 2nd.

The survey, launched on November 6th, 2024, involved over 100,000 employees who collected data from 1.16 crore families. While 96% of the population was covered, some households were missed due to various reasons, including participant reluctance.

Mr. Reddy stated the survey will empower marginalized communities and provide the Dedicated Commission with crucial data for better welfare scheme implementation. He highlighted the survey as another fulfilled government promise. The survey has garnered attention from other states, with many praising the initiative.
