**Larian Studios announces the launch of the Patch 8 stress test for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.** The test includes highly anticipated cross-play functionality, allowing players across platforms to team up for the first time. A few lucky PS5 players may have accidentally accessed Patch 8 early; Larian advises them to delete and reinstall the game to revert to Patch 7.

Access to the stress test is granted via email for PlayStation and PC players who pre-registered. Xbox players need to download the application through the Xbox Insider Hub. Larian is also accepting new registrations, but access is not guaranteed.

Patch 8 introduces several key features, including:

* **Cross-play:** Players can create and join cross-play lobbies, but console players are advised to host lobbies when playing with PC players. Mod compatibility has limitations for cross-play with PC players.
* **Split-screen on Xbox Series S:** This feature is available for early testing during the stress test.
