**Bhubaneswar, Odisha –** The Adani Group announced a significant investment commitment of ₹2.3 lakh crore (approximately $28 billion USD) in Odisha over the next five years. The pledge, the largest made during the state’s “Utkarsh Odisha 2025” investor meeting, was confirmed Tuesday by Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, following a meeting with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The investment will be spread across various sectors, including power generation, cement manufacturing, industrial park development, aluminum production, and expansion of the state’s city gas infrastructure. While the Adani Group did not release specific project details, the scale of the investment represents a major boost to Odisha’s economy.
The announcement coincided with other positive developments in the state. A successful first test flight landed at the Dhamra airstrip, and six Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) projects were commissioned, including an EV charging station at Bhubaneswar airport and a city gas distribution facility. Further ATGL projects, including an LNG hub in Bhadrak and CNG stations in Balasore and Rairangpur, were also launched or completed. These projects mark significant progress in Odisha’s infrastructure development.
