Tue Jan 28 15:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Sanju Samson’s Frustration Mounts as Archer Strikes Again in Third T20
**Rajkot, January 28, 2025:** Indian batsman Sanju Samson’s struggles against England continued in the third T20I, where he was dismissed for a paltry three runs off six balls. For the third consecutive match, Samson fell victim to England pacer Jofra Archer, this time caught by Adil Rashid at mid-off.
A visibly frustrated Samson reportedly expressed his anger before leaving the field after his dismissal. The dismissal marked a disappointing end to an intensive training regime specifically designed to counter England’s pace attack, especially Archer. Under the guidance of new batting coach, Seetanshu Kotak, Samson undertook extensive practice sessions using plastic balls on cement pitches and side-net drills to improve his ability to handle pace and bounce. Despite this preparation, Archer proved too much for the Rajasthan Royals batsman.
Samson’s previous performances against Archer were similarly underwhelming. In the first T20I, he scored 26 runs off 20 balls before being caught by Gus Atkinson, also off an Archer delivery. The second T20I saw him manage only five runs from seven balls, again dismissed by Archer (caught by Brydon Carse). The repeated dismissals highlight a clear vulnerability for Samson against the English pacer.
