Initially, they attempted to create a pitch using mud, but the frequent flooding from the Prakasam Barrage washed it away repeatedly. Undeterred, the youths pooled their resources to build a small, concrete pitch in the middle of the river, ensuring a more permanent playing surface.
While batting is relatively easier on the concrete pitch, fielding presents a more challenging experience due to the sandy surroundings.
