**New Delhi, January 28, 2025** – Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for 2025-26 on Saturday, February 1st, at 11 a.m. in the Lok Sabha. This will be her eighth budget presentation, making her the most prolific budget presenter in recent Indian history. The budget session begins January 31st and will conclude in two parts, the first ending February 13th and the second concluding April 4th.
The budget is expected to outline budgetary allocations and revenue expectations for the upcoming financial year. Health experts are anticipating reduced GST on medical goods, increased R&D funding, and expansion of the PMJAY to include citizens aged 60 and above.
