**THOOTHUKUDI, INDIA (January 28, 2025)** – Three sea turtles were rescued and released back into the ocean on Monday by Thoothukudi Forest Range officers, following a tip-off. Acting on the information received, officers discovered the turtles in a boat near the old harbor. Veterinary doctors examined the turtles before they were transported and released into deeper waters. Authorities have registered a case under the Wildlife Protection Act and seized the boat. Investigations are ongoing.
