**Salem, Tamil Nadu, January 28, 2025** – A family of three was found dead in their home in Salem, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, in what police are reporting as a suspected suicide. R. Palraj (45), his wife P. Rekha (35), and their 15-year-old daughter P. Janani were discovered by concerned neighbors after failing to emerge from their home.
Police, alerted by the neighbors, forced entry and found the three deceased inside. Initial investigations suggest that Palraj, who ran a silver anklet business from his home, had been struggling with significant debt incurred during the construction of their house. He reportedly had outstanding loans from multiple individuals.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
