Tue Jan 28 15:55:05 IST 2025: ## Nagpur Teen’s Suicide Prompts Police Investigation

**Nagpur, Maharashtra:** A 17-year-old Class 12 student in Nagpur allegedly committed suicide on Monday, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. The victim, the only child of a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regional director, was found by her mother in her bedroom with multiple self-inflicted wounds.

Police discovered the girl had been extensively researching death and foreign cultures online, particularly European culture, in the weeks leading up to her death. Her Google search history revealed numerous queries about what happens after death. A uniquely bladed knife, believed to have been purchased online, was used in the incident. Authorities are currently investigating her social media activity for further clues.

The girl, described as an avid online gamer, also kept detailed diaries chronicling her interest in foreign cultures. Police have registered a case of accidental death, pending further investigation. The family resides in the Chhatrapati Nagar area. While the official cause of death is still being determined, the extensive online research strongly suggests premeditation.
