Mon Jan 27 16:17:01 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru Software Engineer Arrested in Hyderabad for Selling High-Potency Cannabis
**Hyderabad, January 27, 2025** – A 28-year-old software engineer from Bengaluru was arrested in Hyderabad on Friday for selling high-quality cannabis, known as OG Kush. Siva Ram, an employee of Deloitte, was apprehended in Prashanth Hills Colony, Raidurg, while making a sale.
Police seized 175 grams of OG Kush, one kilogram of regular ganja, and ₹1.91 lakh in cash, believed to be proceeds from the illegal sales. Ram, who traveled to Hyderabad on weekends to distribute the drug, had purchased the OG Kush from a Bengaluru supplier, Ajay Karra, for ₹1,500 per gram on January 25th. The street value of OG Kush in Hyderabad is estimated at ₹3,000 per gram.
OG Kush, a potent hybrid strain with THC levels ranging from 25-28%, is significantly stronger than regular ganja (2-4% THC). Ram has been handed over to Serilingampally police for further investigation.
