Srinagar, Jan 27 – Thousands of Muslim devotees across Kashmir observed Shab-e-Meraj, the Night of Ascension, on the night of January 26-27. The largest gathering took place at the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, where devotees participated in night-long prayers and religious activities. Shrines across the region were illuminated, and special sermons focused on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Administrators at Hazratbal reported thousands of attendees participating in congregational prayers, recitations of the Quran, and religious sermons.
