COLUMBUS, OH – Micah Parrish led the Ohio State Buckeyes with 18 points, powering them to an 82-65 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Monday night, ending a three-game home losing streak. The victory comes on the heels of a significant road win against then-No. 11 Purdue.

Iowa’s Drew Thelwell led the Hawkeyes with 20 points, shooting 8-for-10 from the field, including three three-pointers. Owen Freeman added 14 points and eight rebounds, while Seydou Traore and Payton Sandfort each scored 13. Sandfort’s three three-pointers brought his career total to 240, tying him for third place in Iowa’s all-time list.

Despite a closely contested first half, with eight lead changes and three ties, Ohio State pulled away in the second half, fueled by an 11-3 run to start the period. A 9-0 run midway through the half further solidified their lead, ultimately securing a comfortable victory.

The Buckeyes will next face Penn State on Thursday, while Iowa will host No. 10 Purdue on February 4th.
