**Chennai, January 28, 2025** – Government Railway Police (GRP) in Andhra Pradesh have successfully rescued a six-year-old boy who had been missing for 14 days from Chennai Central Railway Station. A woman, identified as Saraswathi from Guntur district, has been arrested in connection with the abduction.
According to police, the child’s mother, Shshitha Begam from Assam, had left her two sons unattended at the station while she went to meet a prospective employer. Upon returning, she discovered her six-year-old missing and reported the incident. Examination of CCTV footage led police to Saraswathi, resulting in the child’s rescue and the arrest of the suspect. The motive behind the abduction remains under investigation.
