**Prayagraj, India** – The ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is witnessing a massive influx of pilgrims for the Mauni Amavasya Amrit Snan on January 29th. This auspicious bathing ceremony, coinciding with a rare confluence of events, is considered particularly significant as it falls on an Amavasya (new moon) day, making it ideal for performing ancestral rites. The most auspicious time for the Amrit Snan on January 29th is between 5:25 AM and 6:18 AM, with a subsequent auspicious bathing period from 5:51 AM to 7:11 AM. Devotees are encouraged to chant specific mantras during their bath for blessings and prosperity.

Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, Gujjar leader Vijay Bainsla has accused the BJP government of inadequate representation for the Gujjar community. He criticized the government’s failure to include the reservation quota in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution and to withdraw cases filed during past protests.
