Tue Jan 28 04:59:39 UTC 2025: ## Prayagraj Railway Division Implements Massive Plan for Mauni Amavasya Kumbh Mela Rush

**Prayagraj, India –** With over 13 crore devotees already attending the ongoing Mahakumbh festival in Prayagraj, the city is bracing for an unprecedented influx of pilgrims for the Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya, January 29, 2025. Authorities expect a staggering 10 crore pilgrims to converge on the Triveni Sangam for the holy dip. To manage this massive crowd, the Prayagraj Railway Division has announced a comprehensive plan, including specific entry and exit points at major stations and a dedicated holding area.

The plan, effective a day before and two days after Mauni Amavasya, details strict entry and exit routes for all stations to ensure smooth passenger flow. At Prayagraj Junction, entry will be solely from the city side (platform number—[Unspecified in original text]), with exit via platform number 6 (Civil Lines side). Reserved passengers will utilize gate number 5, while unreserved passengers will enter designated color-coded shelters. These shelters will also provide unreserved ticket counters, ATMs, and mobile ticketing services. A large holding area with a capacity of 1 lakh people has been established at Khusro Bagh.

Similar entry and exit restrictions are in place for Naini Junction (entry via Station Road, exit through the goods shed), Prayagraj Cheoki Station (entry via COD Road, exit via G.E.C. Naini Road), and Subedarganj Station (entry via Jhalwa-Kaushambi Road, exit towards GT Road). Reserved passengers at all stations will have designated entry gates.

Color-coded shelters at all stations will guide unreserved passengers based on their final destinations. These comprehensive measures aim to prevent chaos and ensure the safe and efficient movement of millions of pilgrims during this highly anticipated religious event.
