**Kannur, Kerala, January 28, 2025** – The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] will analyze its recent Lok Sabha election defeats in Kannur district at its upcoming district conference, party secretary M.V. Jayarajan announced today. Despite strong showings in previous Assembly and local body elections (over 50% vote share), the party suffered setbacks in the parliamentary polls, prompting this review.

The three-day conference, scheduled for February 1st to 3rd in Taliparamba, will feature a delegate meeting on February 1st and 2nd at Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Nagar, culminating in a public meeting on February 3rd at Sitaram Yechury Nagar. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate both events. A total of 566 participants, including elected representatives and party leaders, are expected to attend.
