Tue Jan 28 23:08:15 IST 2025: ## England Beats India in Thrilling T20 Match, but Series Remains in India’s Favor

**Rajkot, India –** England secured a 26-run victory over India in a thrilling third T20I on Tuesday, despite a stellar bowling performance from India’s Varun Chakravarthy. The win, however, wasn’t enough to claim the series, as India still holds a commanding 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

Chasing a challenging 172, India’s batting lineup faltered, managing only 145/9. Hardik Pandya top-scored for India with a 40-run knock, but consistent wickets from England’s Jamie Overton (3/23), Jofra Archer (2/33), and Brydon Carse (2/28) kept India’s chase under pressure.

Earlier, England’s innings had its own share of drama. After a strong start from Ben Duckett (51) and Liam Livingstone (43), who smashed five sixes in his quickfire innings, England’s middle order collapsed thanks to a sensational spell from Chakravarthy. The right-arm spinner claimed a five-wicket haul (5/24), his second in T20Is, dismantling the English batting order with wickets of key players like Jos Buttler and Jamie Smith. England finished their innings on 171/9.

Despite a late flourish from Ravi Bishnoi in the final ball of the Indian innings, the deficit proved insurmountable, securing a well-deserved victory for England. The series now moves to the next match, with India still in a strong position to clinch the series.
