**Rajkot, India –** India’s five-match T20I series against England took a turn on January 28th, as the hosts suffered a 26-run defeat in the third match at Rajkot. This marked India’s first home loss in 426 days and their first defeat in the series, ending their two-match winning streak. England, having lost the first two matches, finally opened their account in the series.
Despite a stellar bowling performance from Varun Chakravarthy, who took 5 wickets, and a hard-hitting 40 from Hardik Pandya, India’s chase fell short. England posted a challenging 171/9 in their 20 overs, with Ben Duckett anchoring the innings with a half-century. In response, India managed only 146/9, with Jamie Overton taking 3 wickets for England.
The fourth T20I is scheduled for Pune on January 31st. This was the first ever T20I match played between India and England at Rajkot.
