**ERODE, January 28, 2025** – May 17 Movement coordinator Thirumurugan Gandhi accused Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman of using remarks about Periyar to distract from the BJP’s policies in Tamil Nadu. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Gandhi highlighted the struggles faced by small-scale industries and textile businesses in the Erode (East) constituency due to the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). He also raised concerns about the recently released UGC draft regulations on undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Gandhi criticized Seeman for failing to address these pressing issues, alleging that the NTK leader is deliberately diverting public attention.
