Mon Jan 27 20:38:08 UTC 2025: **Delhi BJP Intensifies Campaign, Attacks AAP Ahead of Elections**

NEW DELHI (January 28, 2025) – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a major campaign push in Delhi on Monday, holding 26 public meetings across the city. Top BJP leaders, including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal and Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Sukanto Majumdar, targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, criticizing its handling of infrastructure, water supply, and drainage systems.

Mr. Lal drew comparisons between Delhi and Rajasthan cities, claiming that even smaller Rajasthan cities boast superior drainage systems than the national capital. He highlighted the loss of life due to waterlogging during the last monsoon season. Mr. Puri focused on Delhi’s water crisis, alleging widespread problems impacting both rich and poor residents. He further criticized the AAP government’s response to waterlogging during the monsoon.

Other BJP leaders, including MP Manoj Tiwari and MP Ravi Kishan, also conducted extensive campaigning. Mr. Tiwari addressed concerns of the Purvanchal community, while Mr. Kishan specifically refuted AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks about Purvanchal migrants. Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Premchand Bairwa, also participated in the campaigning.

The BJP’s intensified campaign signals a major push in the run-up to the upcoming Delhi elections. The party is aggressively campaigning for a “double-engine” government, aiming to replace the AAP government.
