Tue Jan 28 13:24:53 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Attracts Record Investments, Boasting 1.82 Lakh Crore Rupees in Assurances

**Hyderabad, January 28, 2025** – Telangana’s industry-centric policies have yielded significant results, attracting a massive influx of investments, according to Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu. The state has secured investment assurances totaling ₹1.82 lakh crore, creating an estimated 51,350 jobs.

This substantial investment surge follows recent trips to Singapore, Davos, and Zurich, where the Minister signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various companies. The Singapore and Davos visits alone resulted in MoUs promising 49,500 jobs, while meetings in Zurich secured ₹4,500 crore in investments and 1,850 jobs. Furthermore, MoUs signed during the World Economic Forum in January 2024 brought in an estimated ₹40,000 crore in investment pledges, with 17 out of 18 projects currently active.

Minister Babu attributed this success to the state government’s swift approval processes, policy changes, and initiatives like the first clean energy policy and expedited land allotment. He acknowledged minor hurdles, such as land-related objections from Godrej Industries, which are being addressed by senior officials.

Despite this progress, Minister Babu urged the opposition parties, particularly the BRS, to refrain from hindering the state’s development, citing the Congress party’s past non-interference with investment proposals during its time in opposition.
