Tue Jan 28 10:29:19 IST 2025: ## Guntur Bridge Projects Get ₹41 Crore Central Funding Boost
**Guntur, Andhra Pradesh –** Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Pemmassani Chandra Sekhar, announced a ₹41 crore central government grant to fund crucial bridge projects in Guntur district on Tuesday. The funds will expedite the completion of several key bridges within three and a half years, significantly improving infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
The largest allocation, ₹41 crore, will go towards constructing a bridge at Pedapalakaluru LC No. 6, a long-awaited project considered a milestone for Guntur’s urban development. Additional central funding has also been secured for the Shankar Vilas ROB and the Outer Ring Road ROB, eliminating any financial burden on the state government.
Minister Sekhar highlighted the positive impact these bridges will have on agriculture, commutes, and overall connectivity, improving travel between key towns like Sattenapalli, Narasaraopet, Macherla, and Hyderabad. He described the projects as the fulfillment of a three-decade-long aspiration for Guntur residents.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their support in securing the funding. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the Guntur constituency and the people of Andhra Pradesh.
