Tue Jan 28 15:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Sanju Samson’s struggles continue against England, despite special training

**Rajkot, January 28, 2025:** Indian batsman Sanju Samson continues to struggle against England in the ongoing T20 series, failing to make a significant impact in the third match. Dismissed for a paltry three runs off six balls, Samson expressed his frustration visibly after his departure. This marks the third consecutive match in which he has been dismissed by England pacer Jofra Archer, a Rajasthan Royals teammate.

Samson underwent intensive special training sessions under the guidance of the team’s new batting coach, Seetanshu Kotak, to prepare for facing England’s pace attack. These sessions involved facing plastic balls on a cement pitch and extensive practice at the side nets, with a focus on mastering the pace and bounce of deliveries similar to those bowled by Archer. Despite these efforts, the training didn’t translate into match success.

In the first T20I, Samson scored 26 runs off 20 balls, including a six and four fours, before being caught by Gus Atkinson off Archer’s bowling. In the second match, he managed only five runs from seven balls, again falling victim to Archer. His dismissal in the third match came on the second ball of Archer’s over, with Adil Rashid taking a simple catch at mid-off.
