**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh –** Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad has attributed the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) return to power in Andhra Pradesh to the success of Nara Lokesh’s “Yuva Galam” padayatra. Speaking at a celebration marking the padayatra’s two-year anniversary, Mr. Prasad claimed the initiative, undertaken two years ago before the elections, revitalized the party cadre and helped secure 164 seats for the TDP alliance.
He highlighted the challenges faced during the padayatra, alleging that the then YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government created obstacles, even preventing the erection of stages for Mr. Lokesh’s addresses. Despite these impediments, Mr. Prasad asserted that the padayatra provided the TDP with renewed strength.
The MLA also contrasted the current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s recent investment drive in Davos, which he said attracted ₹7 lakh crore in investments in seven months, with the previous government’s perceived failure to bring in any significant industry or jobs to the state.
