Mon Jan 27 06:22:01 UTC 2025: ## Tamil Nadu Men Die in Kuwait Asphyxiation Incident

**Chennai, January 27, 2025** – Two men from Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu, working in Kuwait, died from asphyxiation earlier this month, according to a report in The Hindu. P. Mohammed Yasin and A. Mohammed Junaid, from Mangalampettai, perished on January 19th after inhaling smoke from a fire they had lit to stay warm. They were buried in Kuwait on January 22nd.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed condolences and announced a solatium of ₹5 lakh (approximately $6,000 USD) from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to each victim’s family.
