Mon Jan 27 15:55:00 UTC 2025: ## Teenager Dies by Suicide After Attacking Woman in Tiruppur
**TIRUPPUR, January 27, 2025** – A 19-year-old teenager from Tiruvannamalai died by suicide on Monday after allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old college student in Sathya Colony, Tiruppur. Police identified the deceased as Deepak, who reportedly became acquainted with the victim, Deepa, through Instagram.
According to police reports, Deepak attacked Deepa after she rejected his proposal, citing a significant age gap. Cornered by neighbours, Deepak subsequently took his own life at the scene. Deepa sustained cut injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Tiruppur North police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The body was retrieved and a post-mortem conducted at the Tiruppur Government Medical College Hospital.
