**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, January 27, 2025** – The tiger suspected of killing a 40-year-old coffee plantation worker in Wayanad district last week has been found dead. Kerala Forest Department officials confirmed the animal was discovered mortally wounded in the Peelavakavu locality at approximately 2:30 AM on Monday. The tiger had previously attacked a forest official on Sunday.

The Forest Department had authorized the killing of the tiger following the initial attack. A press conference is expected later today from Chief Conservator of Forests (Northern Circle), K.S. Deepa. The incident occurred near Pancharakolli in Wayanad.
