MUMBAI, INDIA – Truecaller, the popular Android caller ID app, has finally launched its long-awaited live caller ID feature for iPhones. The feature, previously unavailable on iOS, allows users to identify incoming calls in real-time and automatically blocks spam calls. CEO Alan Mamedi, who announced the feature’s arrival in September 2024, stated that this update fulfills user requests for a fully functional Truecaller experience on iPhones.

The iOS update also includes the ability to search for numbers after a call and utilizes Truecaller’s database to identify unknown callers. Additionally, iPhone users can now subscribe to the Truecaller Premium Family Plan, allowing up to four users to share premium features at a reduced cost.

To enable the caller ID feature, iPhone users must be running iOS 18.2 or later, then navigate to Settings > Apps > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification and enable all Truecaller switches. The remaining setup is automatic. This launch marks a significant step for Truecaller in expanding its reach and providing a comprehensive caller ID and spam blocking service across all major mobile platforms.
