Mon Jan 27 12:37:23 UTC 2025: ## Manipur Security Forces Recover 35 Weapons in Series of Raids
**GUWAHATI, January 27, 2025** – Joint security forces in Manipur have recovered at least 35 weapons in a series of raids conducted since January 19th, according to a Defence statement. The operations targeted areas affected by ongoing ethnic conflict, spanning various districts including Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, Noney, Thoubal, Jiribam, Chandel, Imphal West, and Kakching.
Recovered items included a modified sniper rifle, multiple pistols and rifles, grenades, mortar, grenade launcher, improvised projectile launcher, and significant amounts of ammunition and war-like stores. The raids also led to the arrests of individuals linked to outlawed groups, namely the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup and the Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group).
The successful operations, the statement emphasized, resulted from close collaboration between the Army, Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, and Manipur State Police. The raids took place across hilly and valley regions of the state.
