Mon Jan 27 01:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Sakshi Media House Ousts Controversial Director Rani Reddy

**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** In a significant shakeup, Rani Reddy, director of the influential Sakshi media house, has been dismissed from her position. Sources within the organization confirm Reddy has been given a two-month notice period, reportedly to facilitate legal formalities with the registrar of companies.

Reddy, long considered a close confidante of Sakshi managing director Y S Bharati Reddy, initially oversaw channel administration and human resources. However, following the YSR Congress party’s electoral defeat last year, she was promoted to a position of considerable power, effectively controlling all aspects of Sakshi’s operations except for the day-to-day editorial role.

Sources describe Reddy’s tenure as marked by a dictatorial style and a reputation for creating a hostile work environment. Her influence extended to editorial policy, leading to widespread dissatisfaction and prompting several senior employees to threaten resignation. Complaints about her management style reportedly reached Bharati Reddy, culminating in the decision to terminate her employment.

The move is seen as an attempt to revamp Sakshi’s image and improve employee morale after a period of reported unrest under Reddy’s leadership. The media house is now expected to seek a replacement with a more suitable skillset and managerial approach.
