**Puducherry, January 26, 2025** – Three Puducherry Police officers received prestigious President’s Medals on Republic Day. Superintendent of Police S. Bascarane was awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, adding to his previous President’s Medal for Meritorious Service. Sub Inspector of Police S. Anandhan and Head Constable R. Gopathy were also honored with the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service. Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government Ashish Madhaorao More announced the awards during the Republic Day celebrations. Mr. Bascarane currently heads the wireless unit of the Puducherry Police.
