ALAPPUZHA, Kerala – A mega job expo offering over 437,500 job opportunities will be held in Alappuzha on February 15th as part of the Vijnana Keralam campaign, officials announced Monday. The expo, a joint effort by the Alappuzha District Panchayat and other local bodies, will be held across several venues in the district.

Former Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac stated that approximately 100 employers will conduct in-person interviews on February 15th. For those unable to attend in person, online interviews will be held on February 14th.

The available positions encompass a wide range of sectors and experience levels. A significant portion, 125,000 jobs, are part of Union government internship and apprenticeship schemes. Another 280,463 jobs are with companies like LinkedIn, Foundit, and Hamara, requiring 2-5 years of experience and offering an annual income of ₹5 lakh. Other major companies such as L&T GeoStructure, Quess Corp, and Taj Hotels are also participating. Additionally, 2,000 nursing opportunities exist in Germany and Australia.

Applicants are required to register on the Digital Workforce Management System (DWMS) portal (knowledgemission.kerala.gov.in) before applying. Interview locations and times will be communicated via WhatsApp and email. Job stations have been established across the district to assist with registration and job application.

Beyond the job expo, Vijnana Keralam plans a skill development campaign for final-year students, aiming to secure employment before graduation. A pilot program involving 25,000 students will launch in mid-February, with a larger program for 500,000 students beginning in August.
