**Mumbai, India** – The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), a unique tennis-ball T10 cricket tournament, is back for its second season. The league, boasting celebrity owners including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Hrithik Roshan, kicks off on January 26th at Thane’s Dadoji Kondadev Stadium and runs until February 15th.
This year’s tournament promises a bigger spectacle than ever, featuring 34 high-octane matches and live performances by renowned artists. 96 players, acquired for a total of over Rs 5.54 crore, will compete across six teams. Abhishek Dalhor was the most expensive player, fetching Rs 20.50 lakh, while 15-year-old Sharik Yasir became the youngest player at Rs 3 lakh.
The matches will be broadcast on Star Sports 1 (TV) and Disney+ Hotstar (OTT). The league format includes a league stage, followed by playoffs culminating in a final on February 15th. Unique rules include a “Tape Ball Over” and a “50-50 Over,” adding an exciting twist to the traditional game.
