**Hyderabad, January 26, 2025** – A fire broke out on two boats at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad on Sunday evening during the Bharat Mata Maha Harati event. The incident occurred due to fireworks malfunctioning near the boats, which were carrying approximately 15 passengers at the time. While all passengers escaped unharmed, several sustained injuries.
The event, organized by the Bharat Mata Foundation at People’s Plaza Grounds, was attended by prominent figures including Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP MPs, and other dignitaries. This marks the seventh year of the annual Bharat Mata Harati ceremony.
