**Salem, Tamil Nadu – January 27, 2025** – An 88-year-old woman, K. Chinnathai, was found murdered at her home in Maduraiyankadu near Seeragapadi, Salem district on Monday. Neighbors discovered her body with head injuries. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Chinnathai lived alone. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to the Salem Government Hospital. The motive behind the murder remains unclear.
