Sun Jan 26 20:16:16 UTC 2025: ## BJP Deploys Top Leaders in Final Push for Delhi Elections
**New Delhi, January 27, 2025** – With just 10 days remaining before the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a major campaign offensive on Sunday, deploying a formidable lineup of senior leaders in a bid to wrest power from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Union Ministers Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hardeep Puri, and Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with former Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Anurag Thakur, addressed approximately 20 rallies across the city. Their speeches focused on attacking the AAP and Congress for alleged corruption, lawlessness, and broken promises.
Mr. Thakur accused the AAP and Congress of collusion and looting Delhi, highlighting the city’s current revenue deficit. He also criticized Rahul Gandhi for his purported lack of active participation in the Congress campaign. Ms. Irani slammed the AAP for failing to deliver on its promises and accused the party of collecting personal data from women voters under the guise of registering them for a financial aid scheme.
The AAP responded to the BJP’s high-profile campaign with counter-attacks. Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh sarcastically noted the deployment of top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, suggesting only the presence of former US President Donald Trump was missing. He further argued that voters would choose the original (AAP) over a BJP imitation. The election is set to be a closely contested battle between the BJP and the AAP.
