Mon Jan 27 04:37:37 UTC 2025: ## Coldplay Concludes India Tour with Electrifying Ahmedabad Concert on Republic Day

**Ahmedabad, India –** British rock band Coldplay concluded their “Music of the Spheres World Tour” in India with a spectacular Republic Day performance at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. The sold-out concert, streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar, saw over 125,000 fans filling the stadium.

Frontman Chris Martin greeted the audience with a heartfelt “Happy Republic Day” and engaged the crowd throughout the performance, addressing them in Hindi and Gujarati. He even hummed lines from A.R. Rahman’s patriotic song, “Maa Tujhe Salaam,” and customized lyrics of “Yellow” to interact with individual audience members selected by the cameras.

A highlight of the evening was the surprise appearance of Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah in the audience, whom Martin playfully acknowledged in a lyric alteration, referencing Bumrah’s impressive bowling record against England. The concert featured a setlist of Coldplay hits, including “Yellow,” “Viva La Vida,” and “A Sky Full of Stars,” and culminated in a breathtaking fireworks display.

Martin expressed his gratitude to Indian fans for their warm reception, stating, “Thank you for letting us feel what it’s like to be an Indian… We had the best time and we are going to miss you.” The performance marked Coldplay’s final show in India after three previous sold-out concerts in Mumbai. The band last performed in India in 2016 at the Global Citizen Festival.
