**AHMEDABAD, INDIA –** Coldplay frontman Chris Martin showcased his compassionate side during the band’s high-energy concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Mid-performance, Martin noticed a fan in distress amidst a surging crowd and immediately stopped the show to ensure their safety. After confirming the fan was alright, he resumed the concert to thunderous applause.
The show also included heartwarming moments. Martin invited a couple holding a banner requesting a song onstage to share the experience, performing “Everglow” for them and the captivated audience. He further endeared himself to the crowd with a moving rendition of “Vande Mataram,” a patriotic Indian song, in honor of Republic Day.
The Ahmedabad concerts, held January 25th and 26th, were part of Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” India tour, which previously saw performances in Mumbai.
