Mon Jan 27 14:27:25 UTC 2025: ## XLRI Lowers XAT Cutoffs to Boost Diversity in 2025 Admissions

**JAMSHEDPUR, INDIA** – The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) announced significant changes to its Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025 cutoffs, prioritizing diversity and inclusion in its flagship programs. The institute has lowered the overall cutoff scores for women and candidates from underprivileged backgrounds for both its Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) programs.

This proactive measure aims to enhance gender representation and create more equitable opportunities within India’s business and management sectors. While the BM program cutoff for male candidates is set at the 96th percentile, the cutoff for women has been lowered to the 91st percentile. Similarly, the HRM program shows a disparity based on background: male candidates from engineering and technology backgrounds require a 95th percentile, while non-engineering applicants need only a 93rd percentile.

XLRI’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (General Management) program, which uses GMAT scores, is nearing completion of its admission process. Cutoffs for other programs, including Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV) and the Double Master’s Program with Rutgers University, will be announced later.

Approximately 4,000-4,500 candidates are expected to be interviewed for the 2025-26 academic year. XLRI officials noted that the final cutoffs are determined by several factors, including the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and available seats.
