Mon Jan 27 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Young Man Found Dead on Train Tracks After Alleging Harassment by Politician’s Brother
**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh:** A 24-year-old man, T. Maheshwara Reddy, was found dead on railway tracks near Somuladoddi village, Anantapur district, on Sunday morning. His death is being investigated as suspicious by railway police.
Reddy, a resident of Topudurti village, had recently posted on Facebook about alleged harassment and false cases filed against him by Rajasekhar Reddy, brother of former Raptadu MLA Topudurthi Prakash Reddy. Reddy’s father, Malli Reddy, accused Rajasekhar Reddy of using his political influence under the YSR Congress Party regime to target his son. He claimed the harassment began after Maheshwara Reddy assisted the TDP party in 2019 and intensified after a January 1st Facebook post featuring Maheshwara Reddy with Paritala Sriram. Malli Reddy also alleged that their land records were illegally removed online.
Maheshwara Reddy had been seen with a friend, Murali, on Saturday evening. He later texted Murali saying he had finished his work and would contact him again. When Murali could not reach Reddy, he alerted the family, leading to the discovery of the body.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding Maheshwara Reddy’s death, including the allegations made by his family against Rajasekhar Reddy.
